Corporate events have a specific challenge: the audience did not choose to be there. They were invited by their employer, their client, or their industry association. The entertainment has to win them over in the first ten minutes.
What Works for Corporate Crowds
Cover bands work better than original acts for corporate events. People want to hear songs they recognize. River Cats play pop, rock, funk, and country, which covers enough range that everyone in the room hears something they like.
Volume matters too. During dinner, the band should be background. During the party portion, it should be loud enough to dance to but not so loud that people cannot talk at the bar. A good band adjusts this without being asked.
Event Types We Cover
Holiday galas are the most common corporate booking we get. End-of-year parties, client appreciation nights, product launches, and team celebrations round out the rest. Each one has a different energy, and the setlist reflects that.
Virtual Corporate Events
For remote or hybrid teams, we offer virtual performances streamed live with professional audio and multi-camera video. This works well for distributed teams who want shared entertainment without flying everyone to one location.
Booking Process
Corporate bookings usually start 2-3 months out. We coordinate with your event planner on timing, load-in, sound requirements, and setlist preferences. If your venue has its own sound system, we can work with it. If not, we bring our own PA.
