There is the regular year, and then there is summer. When the weather turns in Eastern Ontario, the calendar fills up fast and the whole region feels like one long stage.
Festivals lead the charge. Ribfests, waterfront series, and community events pull big crowds who show up ready to enjoy live music, food, and a good day out. Those shows have an energy you cannot fake, and they are some of our favourites all year.
Then there are the private ones. Cottage parties, lakeside weddings, and backyard events across the region keep us busy through the warm months, from Kingston out to the Thousand Islands and beyond.
The one lesson summer teaches every band is to book early. The best weekends go quickly, and by the time the sun is out, a lot of dates are already gone.
